Well, Mario finally broke down and bought his dream machine: the new 2018 Sea-Doo RXP-X 300 with T3 hull! It’s not exactly the color scheme we wanted, but it’ll do.

A big thanks to Stu at Courtenay Motorsports for giving us such a great deal on the machine! Also, thanks to Sebastien at Ladysmith Motorsports and BRP for letting us substitute the grey seat for the black one …what a big improvement!

Well, I haven’t sold it quite yet, but I expect to soon. This Sea Doo jet ski has been an excellent machine for the past 5 years. Now that I’ve bought a new RXP-X 300 with T3 hull, it’s got to go. We’ll miss you!

Les, the Canadian Swamp King, ran into a bit of trouble with his 2015 Yamaha SVHO FX Cruiser when it suddenly quit on him. So naturally we volunteered to take a look at his engine and see if we can fix it for him, as it is our winter break, after all.

This video is Part 4 of the series. Here we split the crankcase cover and determine the extent of the damage, and possibly the cause of the water ingestion.

In an effort to bring the awesome motorsport of stand up jet skiing to the public – here is the first video in my How to Ride a Stand Up Jet Ski series. This video starts off with the very basics of the controls and main parts of a stand up jet ski. Then I move on to shallow starts, deep water starts and finish will illustrating switching legs to turn. There is a severe lack of content in the Internet for beginners and veteran riders alike to learn about riding stand up jet skis. I know I would have loved something like this when I learned less than two years ago. Text articles just don’t cut it for me.

Future installments will talk about other modifications to improve a stand up and more advanced riding techniques.

As always – comments, questions and suggestions will help me bring you better content!
